Cost vs Quality
Dental implants can restore both confidence and health to your smile. For those with missing or failing teeth, implants can provide a natural-looking, long term solutions by replacing both the look and function of teeth. But as with any health procedure, it is important to consider both the cost and quality of your care. Dental implants should be placed by a highly trained expert to ensure your safety, comfort, and satisfaction. The lasting value of your treatment depends on the successful placement of your implants, so when researching dental implant options, remember to weigh the long term value of your care alongside the initial cost.
Advantages of Dental Implants Over Other Options
Sometimes the upfront costs of implants steer patients toward other options such as dentures or bridges. While other treatment options might have a lower price tag initially, it is also important to keep in mind that some treatments are not lasting solutions and will require future replacements or tune ups, all of which come at an added cost of time and money. When comparing the advantages of dental implants over other treatments, consider the total time each treatment requires, maintenance, and what the ultimate cost looks like for your health and comfort. Advantages of implants include:
- Permanent, lasting solution once placed
- Function and look like natural teeth
- Protects against gum and bone damage
- Preserves more of natural teeth (which must be filed down to place a dental bridge, putting you at higher risk of tooth decay and other oral health problems)
- Prosthetic teeth are made to custom fit your smile and tooth color for natural-looking results
- Provide facial support and improved oral health
- Assist in speaking, smiling, and chewing
- Easy care. Simply floss and brush like natural teeth and have regular checkups to ensure overall oral health
Determining the Cost of Dental Implants
There are two main factors that determine the total cost of dental implants: the materials used and the time it takes to place them.
We can help you choose the material best suited for your needs based on your oral health condition, the number of missing teeth, your aesthetic goals, and more.
Traditional implants require a series of visits to the office. The implants are first placed, then left to fuse to the jawbone. Finally, the replacement tooth is added to the implant.
Same day dental implants are also available in some cases for qualifying patients.
